Since my kids are about grown, we have a little more free time on Christmas Day, so we went and picked up mom and dad at 7:00 am and ran out to do 3 quick and easy geocaches. Yes, I know we're crazy!!
All 3 caches were park and grabs, so it took us less than an hour to find all of them and drop mom and dad back off at their house. We went back home and opened presents with the kids ....
and then we all went back by mom and dad's for Christmas Dinner.
Mom cooked.....
Dad carved the turkey.....
And we all ate until we couldn't eat any more....
And then we played a very fast paced dice/grab bag game....
Later in the evening my nephew stopped by for a visit....
So that was our day - how was yours?
Of course you went caching on Christmas! I would have went shelling if I'd had the opportunity ;) Maybe next year?!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a sweet and beautiful family! It looks like you all had a great time! I hope all of your Christmas wishes came true!

You are crazy for getting up that early! Looks like you had fun, though. Glad to hear your Christmas was merry. :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely crazy! Not for the caching, but for getting up at 7 a.m. on Christmas day!!! :p
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely Christmas day! We were still recuperating from our Christmas Eve dinner in my family, so skipped the planned roast and ate turkey soup and sandwiches and other leftovers from the night before, then headed out to the movies. We did all our gift exchanges On Christmas Eve after dinner, but we did have some little surprises in our stockings on Christmas morning which we enjoyed after breakfast. Was a lovely relaxing day with family.
OMG! Pops looks like he had the death grip on his trail mix / nuts, hahah. I don't think it was crazy caching on Christmas Day...that's what the holiday is all about. Relaxing and spending time with loved ones. Hey, we got up and took a hike in the woods looking at beavers, hahah. Now that's crazy!
ReplyDeleteI don't really understand geocache-ing, but you've peaked my interest! Can I do it with my iPhone, I wonder?
ReplyDeleteYes, you can do it with an i phone, but I don't know how as I don't have one. There is an app for geocaching on itunes as well.
ReplyDeleteHO HO HO Merry Christmas (only two days late!) Christmas CACHING sounds like the start of a new tradition! Merry Cachemas and Happy New Year!
