In this one I love the little hat and collared jacket....
Check out the ankle socks....
Does anyone remember wearing white gloves to Church when they were a kid? We did every week - not just for Easter...
I love this photo of me holding this giant bunny rabbit. I'm guessing that I was about 3 years old...
And here I am XX years later (you didn't think I was actually going to spill those beans, did you?) holding the same rabbit. She's in pretty good shape except for her lace apron which is falling apart. My husband doesn't like this rabbit any more than he likes the huge stuffed Santa I have either. So of course the rabbit turns up on his sofa or under his blanket from time to time....
Please share some childhood Easter photos this week if you have them!
Adorable! Those are some really cute shots!ReplyDelete
I'll have to see if there are any Easter shots in my mom's old photo albums... I know for sure I don't have a photo with the Easter Bunny, lucky you! I was kind of obsessed with rabbits around Easter as a kid... I used to ask the Easter Bunny for a real bunny as a present! You should see my collection of stuffed rabbits that kept appearing in my Easter basket... (although I think I only have a couple left) :p
I hope you find some old photos. We bought both our kids bunnies when they were small. They were the cutest little things but they were very messy and more work than I thought they would be. My kids loved them tho.ReplyDelete
I was a white-glove-to-church girl, too!ReplyDelete
My grandmother always had beautiful leather gloves that went all the way to her elbow - very elegant.Delete
You really haven't changed my friend! You still have that pretty smile that lights up you face. Love your cute bunny! And this is a good idea for a post! I'll do one this week, too! Hugs!ReplyDelete
Thanks Diane - I hope you do. I'll be watching for it.Delete
Your pics are so cute! I remember the white patent leather shoes and the Easter hat, as well as the gloves - all brand new for Easter! :)ReplyDelete
It was always a treat to get those new Easter outfits.Delete
The bunny loves the Sanibel sweatshirt too!ReplyDelete
I was wondering who would notice the Sanibel shirt first. :-)Delete
Great photos. Lov ehtose childhood pics and I love that bunny showing up in he most unexpected places by the one who is so fond of the bunny. ;-)ReplyDelete
LOL - Yes, I love to do that. I can't repeat what he CALLS the bunny tho.Delete
Ha,ha,ha "So of course the rabbit turns up on his sofa or under his blanket from time to time" I love that!ReplyDelete
I love these old pics that you share! Thanks!
Love your Easter photos! Yes, I used to dress up like that for church on Easter. Wish I had some of my old photos to share, but they're all at my parent's house. Thanks for sharing yours.ReplyDelete
That's too bad - I would have loved to see them.Delete
Fun pictures! How neat you still have that rabbit. There are some Easter photos at my dad's house, buried in a box. I recall one of myself and my sister early Easter morning, in pjs, holding bowls of the eggs we had found, and my sister doing her best not to fall back asleep!ReplyDelete
I just realized how many of my old dolls I still have. :-)Delete
We always wore white gloves and on Easter we had corsages. You look just as cute now holding your bunny as you did then.ReplyDelete
Aw, thanks Laura! xoDelete
Lots of memories in those photos for you! Love the bunny.ReplyDelete
