I Mourn the Loss

I'm taking a couple of days off from blogging to mourn the loss of my brother in law, Chuckie.

Chuckie had a great spirit and a deep love for his son, Kyle.  Chuckie loved to fish and hunt, had a great laugh and was always there if we needed anything.  I don't care where he was or what he was doing - if I needed something, he was always there.  He was the brother I never had and I will miss him more than words can say.

Rest in Peace Chuckie.  You were one of the good ones and every time I listen to my David Allan Coe album, I will think of you and smile.  I'll see you on the other side.

He said, "Drifter can ya make folks cry when you play and sing?
Have you paid your dues, can you moan the blues?
Can you bend them, guitar strings?"
He said, "Boy can you make folks feel what you feel inside?
'Cause if you're big star bound let me warn ya, it's a long, hard ride"
If you're big star bound let me warn ya it's a long, hard ride

The Ride lyrics
Songwriters: Detterline, J (Jr); Gentry, G;

  1. I am so so sorry Kim. Chuckie looks like he was a fun guy with a ready laugh. My condolences for your family.

  2. Kim, thinking of you and your loss, always remember the good times and it will help.

  3. Beautiful words spoken in his honor. So sorry for your grief. Take all the time you need. We'll be here when you get back.

  4. So sorry to hear of your loss Kim,

I can't imagine yet how it must feel.
Like you I have no brother but also some people around me whom I consider the best replacement I can get. Can't think of them not being there anymore.

You're in my thoughts and prayers.

  5. I am so very sorry for your loss.

  6. I'm sorry for your loss Kim. I'll be praying for you and your family.

  7. So sorry to read this. Hang in there.

  8. Kim, I am so sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family in your grief.

  9. Terribly sorry for you and your family Kim! My heart goes out to all of you. HUGS!!!

  10. So sorry to hear about your brother in law. May you find comfort in the many good memories.

  11. What a bummer! I'm so sad for you guys! Just like he was always there when you when you called him. When the good Lord called, he did the same.
God Bless, I'll pray for Chuckie and your family.
Time has a way of healing the pain in your heart and allowing only the good feelings to come through.
    Hang in there pal:(

  12. I am sorry for your loss. May your sadness soon be replaced with all of your happy memories.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. Please leave a message because I love to hear from you!
