I wanted to share this picture with you. Maybe you remember this post from last May, when we had record breaking high water levels at Kentucky Lake.
Right now the water levels are still at winter pool and extremely low, so I went down and took a photo of the same dock and light pole so you could get the perspective. Water level right now....
Last year during the flood.....
Cool huh?
That's insane how high/low one lake can get. Do you swim there?
ReplyDeleteYes, the kids and I do swim here. Altho our neighbor has a pool, and he lets us use it, so that's nice. My husband won't swim in the lake tho.
ReplyDeleteWow! You all need some rain to make up for the lack of snow. Many places didn't get their normal snow last winter and will be having a drought without ample rain.
ReplyDeleteYou can have some of our rain! We had 7.75 inches of rain in March. Ugh! I'm ready for some sunny skies.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, I had to take a double take! That's pretty cool! Let's go fishing!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter Kim & I hope you have a lovely break!

Thank you Melissa - and the same to you and your family as well.
DeleteCan you imagine how much water that is to raise/lower the lake that high?! I'm sitting on the dock with your hubby as I'm not fond of water where you can't see what's swimming under you...
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!

You can come sit with us whenever you like Cathy! Happy Easter!
DeleteCrazy! What's it look like when the water level is "normal"?
ReplyDeleteNormal summer pool level is just below the pier decking.
