I'm taking a couple of days off from blogging to mourn the loss of my brother in law, Chuckie.
Chuckie had a great spirit and a deep love for his son, Kyle. Chuckie loved to fish and hunt, had a great laugh and was always there if we needed anything. I don't care where he was or what he was doing - if I needed something, he was always there. He was the brother I never had and I will miss him more than words can say.
Rest in Peace Chuckie. You were one of the good ones and every time I listen to my David Allan Coe album, I will think of you and smile. I'll see you on the other side.
He said, "Drifter can ya make folks cry when you play and sing?
Have you paid your dues, can you moan the blues?
Can you bend them, guitar strings?"
He said, "Boy can you make folks feel what you feel inside?
'Cause if you're big star bound let me warn ya, it's a long, hard ride"
If you're big star bound let me warn ya it's a long, hard ride
The Ride lyrics

ReplyDeleteI can't imagine yet how it must feel.
Like you I have no brother but also some people around me whom I consider the best replacement I can get. Can't think of them not being there anymore.
You're in my thoughts and prayers.
