Book Review - Love Your Life

Love Your Life by Domonique Bertolucci

What is real success and how do you achieve it?  It isn't necessarily something to which you can attach a monetary value.  Sometimes it's more about personal achievement and inner happiness.  Love Your Life is filled with quotes and messages to help you achieve your dreams and live your life in the best way possible.

For a book of 208 pages it actually packs one heck of a punch.  Written by professional speaker and inspiration expert Domonique Bertolucci, Love Your Life contains hundreds of quotes, inspirational ideas and advice such as this quote by Bob Dylan "If you want to keep your memories, first you have to live them."  I began reading slowly, taking my time, only reading 10 pages per evening.  I wanted to really concentrate on the quotes and messages, turn them over in my mind and pay attention to their meanings.  Some are very thought provoking.  I began dog earing certain pages that meant something in particular to me or addressed an issue I've been struggling with.

One of my favorite passages was "Not everything in life will go your way.  Some things will be easy, some things harder and sometimes it can feel like everything and everyone is against you.  What makes all the difference is how you navigate the unexpected twists and turns that life inevitably takes.  When things don't go your way, don't let it bring you down.  Instead, take a deep breath, look at your options and simply choose the best way forward for now."  Great advice and it happens to apply directly to me and my life.

Love Your Life is timeless because the advice and messages can apply to anyone at different times of their lives.  After all, the storm we weather today may not be the same storm we weather a year from now.  By the time I finished the book, I had turned down almost 40 pages that directly touched or inspired me.  I then handed the book to my daughter and asked her to read it and give me her impressions.  After 20 pages she asked me if she could keep the book and make notes on the pages.  She found it to be highly inspirational and I think that by her jotting down notes, it shows what an impact it has made on her.   Looks like I won't be getting my book back.

The quotes in this book could possibly help you to think about the events in your life in a completely different way.  They may inspire you to make changes that will have a positive impact on the way you do things.   Learn to focus on the things you can do, choose a path that leads to happiness, love the ones around you - Learn to Love Your Life!
