All the original game pieces were tucked inside the little hidden compartment in the back. It sat there staring me in the face and the wheels started turning.... First I attached a hanger so you can hang it on the wall....
Then I screwed in some hooks to hang keys from and I glued the original game pieces into the board....
And there you have it - a key holder for a lover of vintage games, especially Cribbage. Won't this look awesome hanging on the wall?
And there's still a hidden compartment in the back - for love notes maybe??
Currently for sale in my Etsy Shop.
That is so clever. I love it! I see these all the time and sometimes the pains and graphics are super.
ReplyDeleteThank you. She had several old board games too that I'm trying to decide what to do with.
Deletereally clever! You'll have to keep your eye out for cribbage boards at sales this summer.
ReplyDeleteI will if this one sells. LOL!!

Thanks you Tania - It's been slow to get going but I'm hanging in there. You're one of my biggest inspirations.
DeleteLove how your "wheels" get to turning when an idea's hatching! I've never played cribbage in my life, but I'll bet this repurposed board is going to make someone's day!
ReplyDeleteMy dad and grandpa used to play. I love making stuff like that - now if only that kind of thing would sell. :-)
DeleteClever an creative! I am going to visit your Etsy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by and favoring my shop - I appreciate that!
DeleteYou always have such cute ideas, Kim. I have NO idea how to play cribbage, do you?
ReplyDeleteThanks Gail. Yes, I do. My dad taught me to play. I also have an app for it on my I pad so I can play alone. That's a good option for me because you have to use math and I am LOUSY at math so it takes me forever to add my points. LOL!
DeleteI love Cribbage! I learned how to play from my Grandpa when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to make a key hanger out of this old piece, Kim!!
You are so smart.
Luv ya.
