When my friends Tom and Mary host a Friday Lunch Club geocaching event, it's always a good time. But their annual Lunch Club Saturday event at Jason's Deli is by far my favorite. Jason's Deli has such good food and it's always fun when geocaching and good food are combined.
We picked up my parents and decided to hit a couple of geocaches on our way to the event. It was definitely a tree climbing day and I reached some good heights in my quest to grab the caches. Can you see the cache?
Louie always gets nervous when I'm climbing trees and tends to wander away so he doesn't have to watch!
We also searched low for a couple of caches....
And found a couple of cleverly hidden geocaches. Care to guess what the caches are?
By the time we got to the event, we were starving....
Our hosts and 2 of the nicest people you will ever meet - Tom and Mary...
Mary and I getting our traditional event photograph...
Tom and Mary are proud new grandparents and she is showing off baby photos to Glenn...
Lots of smiling faces at these events....
Me photo bombing.....
"Ans" is a geocaching friend who lives over seas - HI ANS!!
After visiting and then eating some excellent soup and a corned beef sandwich, we left. We stopped and grabbed a few more caches on the way home. Thanks Tom and Mary for another great event!

I love how much fun you have!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Moira - it's gonna be your turn in August. But I promise I won't make you climb any trees.
DeleteHi Kim! Get out of that tree!!! Oh, my, that would make me nervous watching you climb so high! Whew! Your geocaching group looks so nice and filled with smiles! I haven't eaten at a Jason's Deli in a long time! Did you cut your hair? You look so cute. Have a great weekend and you're always a sweetie,
ReplyDeleteShelia ;)
But I LIKE climbing trees! Yes, I did cut my hair. Thank you for noticing. I like it short for the summer. :-)
DeletePeople will have to start planting more caches to keep up with you! Love the photo-bombing -- which you don't have to worry about while up in those trees!

LOL . Believe me, there are more caches hidden than I will ever find.
DeleteJust hearing the word "deli" makes me hungry ... real food for real people. LOL!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing these pix, particularly you in that tree. Cute!!!
Thanks Myra. The geocaching is really fun.
DeleteThat's an interesting activity- a description of a hike we did yesterday mentioned that they had found a cache by accident on top of the mountain.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'd love to know what geocache that is. This would really be a good activity for you John and you could even take Kelley with you.

DeleteJohn, nice job on finding that out. Thank you so much!
DeleteI wish I was in good shape like you are! I couldn't begin to climb those trees...partly chicken I think! ;) I'm becoming scared of heights in my old age!! :D
ReplyDeleteYou sure do have a lot of fun doing this!....and thanks for taking us with you!!
I am taking Traci and Moira geocaching when we are in Florida in August. Maybe you need to come along. :-)
DeleteHey Kim,
ReplyDeleteI thought I saw on FB that you were on Sanibel with the shell king, is that so?
Yes!! We had the best time too. I was there for 5 days with my daughter. Tobias and Becky came and met us at the beach one morning. GREAT people. Do you know them?
