Have you ever used a crocheted washcloth in the kitchen? I'll admit I never have. But my mom recently made me one and I love it! I am amazed at how nicely it cleans all the pots and dishes and it easily wipes down the countertops.
It's almost too pretty to use, don't you think?
Thanks mom. You may need to make me a few more of these..... hint....hint.....
I love this hot pink and looks so pretty. I guess you use cotton thread to make them...that would work well. Great job, Mom! She definitely needs to make more! Sweet hugs!ReplyDelete
The true color is closer to a raspberry and is just yummy looking.Delete
very clever! I never knew....!ReplyDelete
I have AWEsome potholders that were crocheted by an AWEsome friend!
i used to always use these…when my grandma was alive and making them for me. now i have one, that my mom made, but i don't want to use it. it's a keepsake for now :)ReplyDelete
I don't blame you - do you have it someplace special?Delete
Working on it. VbgReplyDelete
Crochet faster. I need one for the lake house....Delete
Kim, they are knitted, not crocheted. Almost done. I will even teach you how to make themDelete
I didn't realize you knit those. I don't like to knit. I bet I could find a crochet pattern tho. :-)Delete
Very cute! Yes, I agree, it's almost too pretty to use washing the dishes.ReplyDelete
It is too pretty to use but I did anyway. :-)Delete
Sweet. I make knitted ones but crocheting is so much prettier. Or maybe it's only MY knitting that doesn't look so good, lol. :)ReplyDelete
I didn't realize my mom knit those. I don't like to knit. LOL!Delete
I've never used one, but when I was a kid, we always had dishrags-- never a sponge, etc. Can you even still buy those?ReplyDelete
I don't like using sponges at all. I always use a dishrag. :-)Delete
My mother used to make these all the time! Once she crafted one for my boss, who was so touched she used it as a doily for a piece of sculpture!ReplyDelete
I didn't appreciate getting them at the time, but those few pieces of cloth remaining in my kitchen drawer are precious.
They are a treasure, that's for sure. Maybe you should frame one.Delete
Lovely! I make them when I am between projects and there is nothing else to do. I always have extra yarn on hand for them!ReplyDelete
