How many of you know Tania from over at the Little Vintage Cottage? If you aren't familiar with her or her blog, go over and check her out - she's the queen of thrifting and remodeling and she does some awesome things. Anyway, a couple weeks ago she invited me to participate in a Thrift it, Gift it, Facelift it challenge - say that 3 times real fast!!
There are 6 of us participating. A couple of the bloggers I already knew and a few I didn't, so it was a good chance to meet some fun new people and swap some stuff. Here's the list of characters....

So today I got my gift from Vicky from over at Life on Willie Mae Lane and here's what was inside....
I have no idea what I'm going to do with this yet - it's a creamy white color and made of yarn. I'm still spinning ideas on this - no wait, I think I just had an idea!!
Hmm..... no idea for this yet either but I like the brassy finish on it....
Candle stick holder and a pedestal base. I have 2 ideas....
Drawer pull that I already know what I'm doing with....
10 little silver tart tins - so cute and dainty. I'm working on an idea....
Love the silver plated cake server. I definitely know what I'm doing with this!
And my favorite piece is the cloche - ok, I know it's probably really called a cheese server, but I've always wanted a cloche, so I'm calling it that. My gift, so I can call it whatever I want. LOL! I'm pretty sure I know what I'm going to do with this too.
We all have a couple of weeks to work on our Facelifts and then we'll all be back to share what we've come up with. So stay tuned!
This sounds fun! Can't wait to see what you all make!ReplyDelete
Thanks - it's going to be a fun project.Delete
Quite a challenge! I'm in suspense too!ReplyDelete
I'm spinning ideas. Stay tuned.Delete
Oh man! GREAT goodies Kim! Vicky is awesome :o) I would totally dye that piece of yarn trim stuff and just hang it on my wall! It would look really cool in my boho theme rooms! The gold flat thing could maybe be married up with one of the pedestal/candle holder things to make a stand... can't wait to see what you come up with!ReplyDelete
I have some ideas - they need fine tuning. LOL.Delete
Wonderful group of items to work magic. Love those tart tins!ReplyDelete
Aren't those adorable? I actually have TWO ideas for those.Delete
Fun! You received some really nifty things! I'd love a cloche, too. I've been looking for one. You know what I would use it for....is that what you are using it for?!ReplyDelete
LOL - oh Della, you know me so well and you are totally correct. You just made my day!!! xoDelete
What a fun way to challenge and improve your talents -- and since I have NO idea what I'd do with any of it, fun for me to sit on the sidelines and watch. :)ReplyDelete
Thanks Gail - I have several projects planned so I better get busy.Delete
Wow, you got some really neat things too! Love the cloche, that's what I would call it too, it's only a cheese server if you put cheese in it! ;) Love the tart tins and the pie server too!ReplyDelete
I can't wait to see what you come up with, especially the yarn garland thingy!
ROFL - you crack me up!!Delete
So glad you liked your goodies! I hope to share mine later today. Have fun playing!!ReplyDelete
I loved everything. I'm already using one item! :-)Delete
