I really didn't have to do much to it. I cleaned it up and applied 2 coats of aqua blue paint.
Stenciled the word grains across the front....
Filled it with bread and set it on the counter at the lake.
Done!! What did you make this week?

This is a cute makeover! It is always great seeing what paint will do to an object. This bread box went from bland to grand!

Thanks Dianne. I was happy with it.
DeletePretty neat, clever one.
ReplyDeleteQuick and easy too!
DeleteSo the bread isn't in the cabinet over the sink my more? I won't be able to find it
ReplyDeleteYes, I like to keep you guessing!
DeleteNice job! Very clean looking! I just re-started on the cabinet at our place in Florida, the base coat is done, now time for the fun to begin! Hoping for a vintage, or old Florida feel when I'm done!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see it - show us pictures when its done.
DeleteDefinitely an improvement! Hey, I read your comment at Lavender Dreams-- very cool you saw some of The Blus Bros being filmed!!
ReplyDeleteIt was very awesome. They did it in downtown Park Ridge.
DeleteVery cute! You always find the best things.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda - I love looking for stuff and imagining what I can do with it.
DeleteI like it!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Moi
DeleteWhat a cool transformation! The heart cut-out is so sweet. Makes me wonder if it wasn't originally given as a wedding gift.
ReplyDeleteI never thought of that but you could be right.
DeleteSweet! Right now I'm painting a buffet white for our Spring sale, hoping it will be a display for my blue stoneware.
ReplyDeletePost a picture when you finish it so I can see it.
DeleteWhat a beautiful transformation of the bread box! Love how you changed the color and added the stenciling. I am not currently working on any "redo" projects, but I think I've been inspired to find something to "redo" now! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by and leaving a message. :-)
DeleteSuper cute...LOVE the color, and the stencil!!
ReplyDeleteWorking on some shutters.
Have a nice evening, sweetie pie.

Thanks Deb - it fits in with the kitchen really well. xo
DeleteI'm so glad you told me about your breadbox, Kim--love it--especially with the stencil. What are the odds that we'd be working on almost the same project at about the same time?! Hope you have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteI know -what are the chances? That is so crazy.
