We found some good stuff this weekend. Let me show you....
A set of 3 brushed aluminum kitchen canisters and a Boden's Orchard milk quart....
Brand new set of peach colored bathroom towels and wash cloths - never even taken out of their original packaging. I'll be keeping these....
50th anniversary Salerno tin and 2 silver plated spoons....
An entire box of assorted buttons and some cute pins....
Almost an entire roll of bubble wrap - for free!!!!
Three legged table that I cannot wait to refinish....
A set of Salty and Peppy shakers. The Snow White box is vintage Disney from 1964. I thought it was kind of cool....
A pair of barely used Timberland women's hiking boots - size 7. Not my size so I'll be selling them on EBAY....
Some yarn for another multi colored blanket that I'm making....
More yarn and a spool of string for wrapping ETSY sales.....
Five assorted color and size pants/skirt hangers....
A great vintage trunk that's in really good shape. I love the color but it will have to be painted because of the tape marks somebody left on the top of it. This is another project I can't wait to start...
I picked up 4 vintage wall pennants. The Chicago Bulls....
The Cubs vs the White Sox....
The Magic Kingdom and it comes with a pin....
I really liked this Florida pennant....
Louie picked up this chest of drawers because it was a nice size and for me to refinish. I don't like the colors at all. What colors would you suggest? It will eventually be sold.
A sifter and what I think is a flower frog....
The flower frog was actually my favorite find of the day. I've never seen one this style and I love the honey comb pattern on it. I have to research it because I have no idea what it may be worth. Any ideas?
What did you find this weekend?
Linking up with...
You did good as usual!!!!
ReplyDeletealways fun too!
DeleteQuite a haul
ReplyDeleteMore stuff for me to work on in my spare time. :-)
DeleteI think my favorite is the free bubble wrap!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI know -it was almost a full roll too. Score!!
DeleteNice treasures!
ReplyDeleteI can really find the junk, can't I??
DeleteKim, I sure wished you lived closer so I might shadow you. My fav antiques marketplace was having 'name your own price' day a few weeks back, but I couldn't summon the moxie to 'wheel and deal'!
ReplyDeleteThe towels look delish. Congrats on another great haul!
Myra - I wold love that. I have no problem wheeling and dealing. My secret is that I'm willing to walk away if I can't get it for the price I want. :-)
DeleteThat's funny- the trunk is just like mine from college, 1974! And now it's vintage, how funny :) With the dresser I'd go with gray and white, muted, great lines!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I wish I would have kept half the stuff I had back then too. LOL.
DeleteGray and white sounds like a nice combo - thanks.
Love your finds! I would also do the dresser in grey and white, and distress it, too. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI want to distress it, louie doesn't. He doesn't like distressing. Is he nuts???
DeleteOf course the dresser HAS to be the Seafoam blue! :) Or Maybe off white with the seafoam accents! It just needs to be beachy! I sure wish you lived closer to me, I threw away a boat load of buttons....had no idea! We have our estate sale this coming weekend and I am so not ready!! Can you come give us a hand?? :D I am NOT a wheeler and dealer....this should be interesting!! :/
ReplyDeleteI like the seafoam and white or grey and white. I can't decide.
DeleteHi Kim!
ReplyDeleteWow, all amazing finds!
I love the canisters and the glass milk bottle!
The trunk looks like one we have that used to be my husbands grandfathers.
I think the little dresser should be a feminine color since the legs are curvy, greys or whites...men think distressing is weird, but it's what sells! ;)
I think grey and white would be nice too - as well as the distressing. Hubby is TOTALLY against the distressing.
DeleteGood finds! The bubble wrap is amazing... who throws out bubble wrap???? The flower frog is really neat!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? A whole roll too. I skipped all the way to the car!
DeleteI am torn on the flower frog - I might have to keep it. :-)
Love, love, love all your great treasures! The trunk is amazing!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? I'm weighing my options on refinishing it.
DeleteGreat finds Kim! How about creamy white with light blue drawers for the little chest?
ReplyDeleteTania
I'm really liking that suggestion.
DeleteOh great finds! Love the aluminum canisters. Your little chest is adorable. Unlike most of the suggestions you will receive, I do love some red paint on furniture, maybe shared with another color also. Though not for everyone, it sure make s a statement and a fun focal piece. :)
ReplyDeleteFunny you should say that Pam. My husband suggested black and red for the table and I sort of frowned on it because I don't think that will match a lot of people's decor. That piece is his to refinish tho, so I'm anxious to see what he decides to do with it.
DeleteLots of great potential here. I love that table and those wooden hangers. Thanks for sharing your finds at Vintage Inspiration Party.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds, Kim, especially your two side tables. I always want to be brave and go with some color, but I always seem to stick with taupe, black, or gray. Maybe you'll pick green and I'll live through you vicariously :) I think that type of flower frog is newer, made for the current canning jar craze, but I'm not 100% sure.
ReplyDeleteMy husband has already started painting the table with the drawers. He chose the colors and I can't wait to see how it turns out.
DeleteThanks for the info on the flower frog. I can't find anything quite like it to compare it to. I'm really tempted to keep it cuz I love the jar.
