Gear Review - Lewis N. Clark Waterseals Waterproof Hard Case

The Lewis N. Clark Waterseals Waterproof Hard Case is one of the best products I have reviewed from this fine company.  I'll bet you anything that my friend Jamie wishes she had had this product last weekend.

When we're at the lake, one of the best things to do on the weekend is to take your boat to a cove and tie up to other boats.  Everyone climbs from boat to boat, visiting, eating, swimming, floating - it's a lot of  fun.

Last weekend Jamie and her family tied up to a houseboat and prepared to climb aboard. Jamie had in hand her cell phone, house key, a small wallet with her drivers license and money, and her cigarettes.  Just as she went to swing open the boarding gate she took a bad step and guess where all her items went?  You got it - right down to the bottom of the lake.  Jamie's day was quickly ruined as she watched hundreds of dollars worth of possessions sink out of sight.   In fact, her exact words were "Rodney told me to grab it!  I said, it is GONE! by the time I blinked it was just gone!  Not a great moment for me! "     Imagine how different her day would have been if she would have had this waterproof, floating case.

How timely that I recently received the Lewis N. Clark Waterseals Waterproof Hard Case to review.  Isn't that ironic?

These hard cover cases come in 3 different sizes and 3 different colors.  This one is the largest case with an exterior size of 5" x 7.5" x 2.2"

The case has a soft rubber inner liner.  Make sure it is firmly seated around the edges and once you close the case be sure to screw the pressure valve on the side.  This will prevent water from getting in.  The first time I tested it I neglected to turn the screw and a few drops of water got in.

Here you can see the pressurized screw.  Also note the attached wrist strap...

Once I properly seated the inner liner and tightened the screw, it proved to be completely water proof.

Here I filled it with my i phone, my drivers license and some cash....

I closed it up and made sure the screw was tight.  It easily floated on top of the water....

Then I held it under the water.  No air bubbles = no leaks!!

I also added a pack of cigarettes just to show how much room the case still had.

Everything is nice and dry!

I love that it combines a water proof case with the floatable feature.

If you spend any time on the water then you really need this product.   Jamie - I'm giving this case to you.  I know you're going to love it.  Have fun on the water!

Product Review - LewisN.Clark ElectroLight RFID Block Day Pack

Today I am doing a review on the LewisN.Clark ElectroLight RFID Block Day Pack

If you're looking for a super light and functional day pack, then this is the pack for you!

From the LewisN.Clark website:

• Ultra-lightweight durable silnylon fabric is water- and stain-resistant
• Large main compartment with cinch top
• External zip pocket with RFID-blocking material prevents unauthorized scanning of data stored on credit cards
• Breathable padded back and straps
• Adjustable sternum strap
• Internal mesh zip pocket and flap zip pocket
• External open mesh pocket
• 15in x 12in x 5in

This day pack is the perfect size for daily use.  I took the day pack down to the lake to use when my daughter and I go hiking.  However, once Chablis spied it she quickly grabbed it and asked if she could be the one to test it out.

The backpack comes in a variety of color combinations but we both like the red/black combo.  Chablis loaded it up with items that she uses when she takes her German Shepherd, Levi, out around the lake.  The pack is the perfect size to hold a lightweight jacket, bug spray, and some snacks in the larger compartment.  It has a mesh pocket on one side for her water bottle.  Two interior pockets are more than enough to hold her car keys and cell phone.  She mentioned that the exterior elastic cord is perfect for snapping Levi's collapsible water dish onto and she always clips her baseball cap to it as well.

Chablis keeps the day pack loaded so when she's ready to head to the lake, she's all set.  Yesterday we decided to take Levi for a ride on the pontoon boat....

The LewisN.Clark ElectroLight RFID Block Day Pack is easy to store, lightweight and holds a lot.  Chablis declared it a winner and said she'd be lost without it.  She takes it everywhere.

Check out their website here.  They have a large selection of items and I'm sure you'll find something that you would love to use.

Gear Review - Lewis N Clark Large Dial Combination Lock

Gear Review - Lewis N. Clark Large Dial Combination Lock

I recently received and used the Lewis N Clark Large Dial Combination Lock when I went on our trip to Key West.   It's TSA approved and I also really liked the fact that the numbers are a little larger than the norm.  That made it so much easier for me to actually see the numbers in addition to moving the tumblers around.

The only problem I had with it initially was changing the factory set combination number to my own number.  The directions on the package were hard for me to follow for some reason.  But have no fear - they now have a one minute video on the web page that easily explains how to do it, so that's no longer an issue.
From the Lewis N. Clark webpage:

Available in black, pink, red, blue, and green, this large dial combination lock is a must-have on many travelers' lists. It can either blend in or stand out depending on your preferences, and will always securely lock your luggage.
• Zinc alloy and steel construction
• Three large dials are easy to see and use
• Resettable 3-dial combination
• 2.5in x 1in x 1in
It's a great little lock that I also use on my gym bag.  I'm sure you could find plenty of other uses for it as well.
I'm a big fan of their products!  Whether it's electronics, outdoor gear, travel security, or packing solutions, they have you covered.  I own several of their products already and I like and frequently use all of them.  They are well made and perfect for travel.  Check out the Lewis N. Clark company .

Gear Review - Lewis N Clark Multipurpose Waterproof Pouch

Gear Review - Lewis N. Clark Multipurpose Waterproof Pouch

Have you heard of the Lewis N. Clark Company?  They specialize in products that are ideal for both travelers and outdoor enthusiasts.  I did a review on their Electrolight backpack a couple months ago.  It's one of my favorite go-to products and I use it for both travel and geocaching.

This time I tried out their Multipurpose waterproof pouch and I have to say it's another great product!  It easily held my i phone, along with a credit card and some cash...

It's made out of waterproof, sealable vinyl and it's quite sturdy.  I used it on our recent trip to Key West and I was happy with the performance.  It comes with a string cord so you can hang it around your neck or do as I did most of the time and tie it to your beach bag.  I always knew exactly where my phone was and we spent a great deal of time on the water and at the beach, and it kept everything dry and free from sand.

The top of the pouch has a multi layer zip seal and take my word for it - it's strong!  No water is getting in there.  In fact, one day we walked around Key West in the pouring rain and I never had to worry about my phone getting wet.

Available in 2 sizes, this product should fit most cell phones.  We're headed down to Kentucky Lake where I will use this product when we're on the pontoon boat or out kayaking.

Check out their website here.  They have a large selection of items and I'm sure you'll find something that you would love to use.

Gear Review - Lewis N. Clark ElectroLight Backpack

Gear Review - Lewis N. Clark ElectroLight Backpack

I recently discovered Lewis N. Clark Travel Accessories and Outdoor Gear and I couldn't wait to share this company with you.  The first product I was given to try out is their ElectroLight backpack.  They come in several color combinations and I'm partial to the blue/green colors.

The backpack is constructed using an ultra light fabric that is water and stain resistant.  It comes with 2 adjustable shoulder straps, a top loop for hanging, a double sided zipper and a roomy interior with a large interior pocket.

From their website:

ElectroLight is the packing solution that’s perfect for everything from camping to overseas trips.
Featuring bright bold colors and durable silnylon, these items are so lightweight that they will meet the needs of even the most minimalist travelers and backpackers.
With the ability to organize daily essentials and equipment alike, ElectroLight is the collection for anyone who doesn’t want to put up with heavy bags or disorganization.
• Ultra-lightweight packing organization
• Durable silnylon fabric is water- and stain-resistant
• Unfolds from compact pouch to full backpack
• Pouch can be used as a separate ditty bag
• Non-slip, adjustable straps
• Internal pocket
• Great for a light jacket, book, magazine, water bottle, and other small essentials
• 17in x 13in x 6in
Weight 3 oz.

I've been looking for a small, lightweight backpack.  Anyone who follows my blog knows how much time I spend outside hiking, geocaching and taking pictures.  A lightweight, yet durable backpack is a must for me and this one fits the bill perfectly.  There was ample room for my camera in the large compartment, and a water bottle and my wallet in the side pocket.  I tested the backpack at the RV Show last weekend.....

After 2 hours of climbing in and out of RV's, I noticed how comfortable the backpack was and how my lower back was not aching at all.  The ultra light material is also cool.  I imagine this will be a huge bonus this summer when I'm hiking in the woods.

I also tested the backpack while we were out hiking and geocaching yesterday and it was fantastic!  I noticed a nice feature about this backpack - I could easily reverse it and wear it with the zipper side facing my back, making the inner contents inaccessible to anyone else.  I felt this was an added security feature, especially when I'm using the backpack out on the street or in a mall.

I guarantee that this backpack will be getting a lot of use.  It looks like it would be easy to toss into the washing machine if it gets dirty too.  How many backpacks can you say that about?

There's another reason why I'm crazy about this backpack - it comes with a ditty bag.   Check this out - the entire backpack easily folds up and fits into this 4" x 3" bag.

Can you imagine how convenient this is??  Simply fold up your ElectroLight backpack, stuff it into its sack and toss it into a suitcase, your purse, the glove compartment, a larger backpack, a gym bag, even your jacket pocket!  The Lewis N. Clark ElectroLight Backpack is perfect for camping, traveling and every day use.

Go over and visit the Lewis N. Clark website.  They have an amazing line of travel accessories and outdoor gear including electronics, health and personal gear, luggage and packing solutions, outdoor gear and travel security.  You can also visit their Facebook Page.

(I was provided a backpack for review purposes and asked to give an honest review.  All opinions are my own.)
