Garage Sale Finds 07-26-17

I realized I haven't posted any of my garage sale finds for awhile.  We've been so darn busy buying stuff, re-doing furniture, listing stuff on Etsy and taking stuff to the booth at the antique mall - Cripe, I can hardly catch my breath.  I just realized that I never took any pictures of a lot of the stuff that I took to the booth and I could kick myself.

Anyway, here's a couple of the things we picked up last weekend....

This is a cute set of canisters.  My son, who is getting married in 6 weeks, already snatched this from me...

The eagle belt buckle is gorgeous....

Ice skates seem to be a good seller for me.  I think people like them for Christmas decorations....

I had 2 of these clown cups before that sold so I thought I'd try another one...

I loved this round cheese grater.

These 2 medical jars were very cool.  I picked them up for a song and they sold almost immediately....

A triangle shaped ruler, still in it's original container....

A set of 11 sea shell napkin rings...

I love these vintage vanity mirrors and lately I found a bunch of them.  Some of them I sell as is, and sometimes I repaint them...

Rectangle shape....

Gold oval shape....

This one with the railing around the mirror was different....

A nice cracker jack tin - already sold....

These frames are hit or miss for me....

A white vanity mirror.  This one came already painted so all I had to do was clean it up....

An oval vanity mirror that I painted gray......

I love these cloche's.  They have so many uses.  I painted the base gray and that was all I did to it....

Accordion folding Hat racks are great for so many things - holding hats, scarves, jewelry, dog leashes and cups....

2 gallon Coleman thermos jug in excellent condition....

This folding rack has nice chunky holders...

I love these old brushed tin canister sets.  This one has only the flour and sugar canisters, but I'm sure they will sell.   The lids are almost a pale pink color and really pretty....

Here's a couple of recent pictures of my booth.  I am shocked at how quickly we filled it up.  Last month we did really well and I showed a nice profit.  Let's hope that continues....

That's it for today.   If you missed yesterdays book review on Cookin' it with Kix:  The Art of Celebrating and the Fun of Outdoor Cooking by Kix Brooks, be sure to go check it out.  It's one of my favorite cook books ever!

  4. I have found that with the old metal picture frames, if you put a piece of pretty scrapbook paper in them they sell much faster!

You found lots of great finds and I'm so happy your booth is doing good!!

    1. Thanks Tania - I'll try that. I filled some with vintage music sheets and that didn't help at all. :-(
