Chablis Catches a Small Mouth Bass

Last week Chablis caught a really nice small mouth bass that weighed in at 4 1/2 lbs..

and out fished her dad in the process....

When it comes to bass, we practice catch and release....

Chablis gives the bass a nice swish in the water....

And with a flip and a wave of his tail, he was gone....

But that smile on her face and the thrill of reeling him in will last a lifetime.

  1. Woohoo! Congrats Chablis!! How come you catch and release? Are they not good eating or are they endangered? It always adds a little more excitement to it when you out fish the fisherman! I only beat my Dad once that I can remember and I have the pics to prove it too!! :D

    1. We do catch and release with Bass because Louie fishes the Bass Tournament Trail and it's a sporting fish. By releasing them, another fisherman can catch them and hopefully release them as well. All the bass that are caught for the bass tournaments are released after they are weighed in. It helps to keep the bass populations up.
