Getting Ready for Easter

Since Easter is coming up quick I thought I'd share some old family Easter photos taken when I was a kid.

In this one I love the little hat and collared jacket....

Check out the ankle socks....

 My sisters and I....

Does anyone remember wearing white gloves to Church when they were a kid?  We did every week - not just for Easter...

I love this photo of me holding this giant bunny rabbit.  I'm guessing that I was about 3 years old...

And here I am XX years later (you didn't think I was actually going to spill those beans, did you?)  holding the same rabbit.  She's in pretty good shape except for her lace apron which is falling apart.   My husband doesn't like this rabbit any more than he likes the huge stuffed Santa I have either.  So of course the rabbit turns up on his sofa or under his blanket from time to time....

Please share some childhood Easter photos this week if you have them!

  1. Adorable! Those are some really cute shots!

I'll have to see if there are any Easter shots in my mom's old photo albums... I know for sure I don't have a photo with the Easter Bunny, lucky you! I was kind of obsessed with rabbits around Easter as a kid... I used to ask the Easter Bunny for a real bunny as a present! You should see my collection of stuffed rabbits that kept appearing in my Easter basket... (although I think I only have a couple left) :p

  2. I hope you find some old photos. We bought both our kids bunnies when they were small. They were the cutest little things but they were very messy and more work than I thought they would be. My kids loved them tho.

    1. My grandmother always had beautiful leather gloves that went all the way to her elbow - very elegant.

  9. Love your Easter photos! Yes, I used to dress up like that for church on Easter. Wish I had some of my old photos to share, but they're all at my parent's house. Thanks for sharing yours.

  10. Fun pictures! How neat you still have that rabbit. There are some Easter photos at my dad's house, buried in a box. I recall one of myself and my sister early Easter morning, in pjs, holding bowls of the eggs we had found, and my sister doing her best not to fall back asleep!

  11. We always wore white gloves and on Easter we had corsages. You look just as cute now holding your bunny as you did then.
    Hugs,
