Meet My Ninja Monkey

A Ninja Monkey, in geocaching terms, is someone who will climb anything to get to a cache.  Usually it's a tree, but occasionally it's a wall, a cliff or a fence.

As a mother, I feel it's my job to teach my daughter how to do the things she needs to know.  You know, the basics that they need to survive once they are out of the nest and on their own.  Things like....

Sewing, which Chablis hates....

Shopping - my version......

her version.....

Cleaning, which she will do except for the toilets.....

Ironing.. well.....sometimes......

Cooking - does macaroni and cheese from a box count as cooking???

I have to admit that none of the above are my strong suits.  I mean, if I have my choice of running a vacuum over the floors or tramping through the woods looking for a geocache, which do you think is going to win out?

All I can say is that this nut didn't fall far from the tree....

  1. Ninja monkey for sure! Chablis is on that fence heading to that tree without any shoes on! I'm sure she will display some of your other awesome attributes when she is older :)

    1. Yes, it was a proud moment for me. Like watching a baby bird take wing. LOL!

  3. Knowing all the things that Chablis' mother (Kim) did before we (her parents) found out about it, I'm hoping Chablis doesn't completely take after her mother. vbg Kim was quite a daredevil in her younger days

  4. Yeah - I'm not much of a domestic goddess. But I wish my daughter shared my love of hiking. At least I can get her to snowboard in the winter.

  5. She's better off outdoors with fresh air and exercise and than a vacuum cleaning. Good on her - she's obviously like her mum!

    1. Yeah, I won't be going to my grave thinking "Yeah, I'm glad I cleaned my house!"

  6. Who really likes household chores anyway? ESPECIALLY when given the chance to run around in the woods or mountains! NOT me! I'm like Chablis! (except I can cook more than mac&cheese... my paella isn't bad!) ;o)
