Geocaching Souvenir Tags

Groundspeak has a series of Souvenir tags that geocachers can earn and display on their profile pages.  They are just fun ways of showing what states we've cached in or what special events we've attended.  Everytime a geocacher caches in a new state and logs it, the tag automatically appears on his profile page.

Some of the souvenir tags I've gotten so far are for caching in the following states...

This is the 10-10-10 tag.....

This tag was awarded because 10/10/10 is the date of Groundspeak’s global geocaching challenge. The date is significant because it represents 10 years of geocaching and 10 years of Groundspeak in 2010. Owners of this souvenir were a part of the 78,313 accounts that helped to break the record of the most geocachers going geocaching on a single day. The previous record was 56,654 accounts logging on April 18, 2010.

My most recent tag was the one just awarded for geocaching on Leap Year...

There's one thing money cannot buy and all geocachers want - more time to go geocaching. On this Leap Day (February 29, 2012), geocachers' wishes came true; this was a whole extra day on the calendar to go geocaching! Those who went geocaching on this day and logged a "Found it" or an "Attended" received this Leap Day souvenir.

So yes, we did make sure we ran out and found a geocache on February 29th, just so we could say we did it and get the souvenir tag!  Did you?
